There aren't that many chillers out there that include a filter, ozone, and wi-fi for under $2k. I wasted time and money on another brand but it was plagued with issues and non-existent support. Here are things I love about the Orca chiller that aren't really advertised on their site:
• Strong water flow—there's basically a strong jet of water shooting into the tub that is constantly moving the water and helps move debris into the filter. Other cheaper chillers on the market just have stagnant water that looks gross after a few days.
* Ozone with timer—the other chiller I tried required the ozone to be manually turned off. Orca's Ozone generator will automatically shut off after 1 hour and can be accessed via the app.
• Functional customer support—Ryan gave me his cellphone number and was happy to answer any questions I had about the chiller, you can tell that he knows the ins and outs of his own product. The last company I ordered a chiller from ghosted me for a month because they didn't know how to fix the issue.
• Price: While it isn't the cheapest, i'd say it's the best value considering the responsiveness of the customer service and reliability with their chiller design. My friend who recommended me this chiller has had his running strong for over 8 months now. If you want to avoid the hassle with problems and customer service that pop up with other brands, It's well worth spending a little more and sticking with Orca.
• My only small criticism is that the chiller is huge and a bit more work to set up vs the cheaper chillers on the market, but you can tell it's a quality piece of equipment and well worth the tradeoff. It'd also be nice to have shut off valve on the filter housing to prevent spilling during changes, but you can also just remove the hose to do that as well.
